Event: 100 Years of Change in Tallahassee's Historic Homes (Virtual Encore)

Date & Time: Tuesday, February 18, 2025 | 9:00 AM EST

Location: Online via Zoom (Hosted by the Tallahassee History Round Table)

Presenter: Casey Bogart, Program Coordinator, Tallahassee Trust for Historic Preservation

Join us for a special virtual encore of a popular presentation. In "100 Years of Change," we trace the dramatic transformation of Florida's capital city through the lens of its architectural heritage.

What happened to the "Old Houses of Tallahassee" documented in 1934? This presentation explores the forces of government expansion and commercial development that erased entire historic neighborhoods, while also highlighting the success stories of preservation in districts like Calhoun Street and Park Avenue. It's a poignant look at what we've lost, what remains, and why active stewardship is crucial for saving the historic fabric that makes our city unique.

This online event is hosted by the Tallahassee History Round Table. Registration details are posted here.
